BACKGROUND:
This is the Fifth official image of the Wildcards series, "Ace Of Diamondss". As with it's predassesors, this image was inspired by the image created for my brother's birthday, a customized playing card. The scan still needs some cleanup and color correction to get a print ready version of this image.
This image was created using Prang colored pencils with 3.5mm cores and a .05mm Technical Pencil. It was rendered on a medium tooth drawing surface, 8.5x11 inch, loose leaf paper. The entire piece took me about six hours to complete. I am planning many more of the series.
I am not entirely happy with the simplicity of this one either, and it was rushed to finish the fourth Ace. I would like to redo it, but inspiration eludes me - which is just as well since problems with my hands preclude redoing this.
