I'm glad you are safe, Lorraine! :) So sorry about the awful storm. Best wishes for the cleanup.

This has been one blah day, although the weather was pretty. Dolly itched to go outside, a dozen times it seems. Now, she's on guard duty beside the door. She ate a little bit of apple with her supper, and that always energizes her.

Took Dawn into Poser, via GoZ. Recently, I watched a GoZ video, and I was trying out some tricks. I'd forgotten what an insanely good figure Dawn is. Her topology is so nice.

I hope you all are having a happy night. :) No more email weirdness, thankfully. You all were great, to be supportive about that. I guess I over-reacted a little -- I didn't realize email foolishness was so common.

Anyway, I appreciate you all.

Thanks everyone :) Safely back aboard Sans Souci, exhausted but very happy to be home. The dinghy didn't have as much water in it as I feared...I think the wind blew it all horizontally south. The boat fared moderately well, some torn and missing window and hatch covers, a leak into the bedroom floor BUT! not onto the bed, woop, woop! That was because the hatch cover tore off and threw itself skyward. One of the boats that's normally parked near to me has dragged its mooring up the river into the mud and is sitting on its keels surveying the river from a different perspective. It's a trimaran so can't/won't come to any damage. It's fortunate there was no boat behind it for it to hit on its way south.

The boat is still full of things to put away, however I've decided tomorrow is a good day for all that. The most important things are done: the dinghy is unloaded, the fridge is going and all food put away, the bed is made, my phone is charging, the bilge is emptied (not a lot in there, either), a temporary hatch cover over the hatch, and being as it is NOT raining some very humid air flowing through.

Jan, I don't think you overreacted to the emails...there's so much scary and potentially dangerous nastiness coming into our inboxes these days. This little space on the net is our safe place to vent, worry, rant, and share. Give that little Dolly girl a hug from me and I hope you have a better day tomorrow xxx

Eeeks. Hope the cleanup won't be too much of a headache, Lorraine.

...that has GOT to be one of the most amusing ways I've ever heard someone put "Aww, sh*t, it just threw it's keel up to the sky!" :roflmao:

I don't think you were overreacting. You weren't sure about it, and worried about it. Not a problem, Jan. It is very common, but when it first started happening with my own email, I didn't have a clue what was going on, either. :)

I'm fading and it's only quarter to six. I just KNOW if I go to bed now I'll be up for hours from midnightish and seeing's how I don't have a midnight computer anymore I do not want that. But I is sooooooo tired. Maybe a little nap wouldn't hurt...:sleep::sleep:

Glad to hear that you were onshore and safe Lorraine...and that the dinghy didn't have too much water. Sucks about the hatch though...

OK, it's getting late here, and I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open, so I'll see you ladies tomorrow.

Night all. :)

The hatch is ok, Pen, it's just its cover that has emigrated. The hatch itself has an unfindable, thus far unfixable leak and has a cover to keep it watertight. That cover has departed for its annual holidays and is not expected to return to work. I hope it enjoys its sojourn in the mangroves and gets pecked to death by ducks!

Yep...I just bought about 5 different things from here...bad...bad...girl I know...probably shouldn't but they had my name on them. Tonight's for relaxing and tomorrow I start work on Diva. Had a brainstorm about Diva at 5am this morning and have a great idea for an additional item to add to her. Hopefully I can pull it off without delaying everything.

Thank you, Lorraine. :) I'm glad your boat is ok, and that you don't have too much cleanup! Dolly says "thank you" for the hug, and we both hope you have a lovely day, also.

I don't know what a hatch cover is, but I'm sorry yours left you high and dry, so to speak. I imagine the ducks will do their duty. ;-) Do you have to get a new hatch cover? If so, I hope they don't cost a bundle.

Thank you, Seliah. :) It all makes me think of the time I saw my own phone number pop up on Called ID and thought, "what the blazes...?" I thought the silly thing was broken. Turns out, an 800 # company was spoofing people's phone #'s.

I don't like to take a nap that late either. It throws the whole night off.

Roll call -- hey, Pen, Terre, MissB, Satira, anyone else who pops in -- Pen, hope you enjoy your holidays. Aren't holidays wonderful? :) That first morning, when you can sleep in...utter bliss.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. :) And yes -- it is great to have a little corner of the Internet where we can meet in serenity.

Hello Jan again :) Not often I get to say hello twice in one of my days :sun: I do hope you and Dolly have a cracker day and get to see that big fat full moon tonight. It's glowing high above my boat tonight and it's quite a sight to see.

Yay! Office moves are all completed. Bad news ... I lost my desk. Screws had fallen out a year or so ago, which I'd reported to the guy in charge of facilities. Per usual ... he never followed through on getting anyone in to fix my desk. Consequently, when the movers lived my desk by the top, the top detached from the base. So, my boss informed me he was going to have to replace it. With a standard wooden (ick) desk with drawers on either side (ick). This one was a grey two piece L shaped desk with a sliding file cabinet. Sooo ... one of the other employees had a grey desk (nice grey, not military grey) which was staying in his old office for the new yet to be hired employee. So that's my desk now, but the movers said it was too wide to fit sideways in my office (without trying it), so it's now against the wall. Which I hate.

Good news is that I'm back in one of my favorite offices. It gets the afternoon sun and is always warm in the afternoons. Unlike my last office which was freezing cold summer or winter.

But of course, my eyes are so not happy because of all the dust from everyone packing and cleaning last week and this, and I've had several headaches. Fortunately, while I had the threat of a migraine this weekend, it eased up before developing full blown. Of course, it probably helped that I took a nap.

Between Tsuki being in a "let's see how I can get in trouble" phase and me just plain being so tired, I haven't got the promos finished yet for the Itarille clothing. But, maybe I can get that done tomorrow in between trips to Toyota. It's that annual state inspection time for the Prius.
