In my case, it's that winter has dragged on just too long, so my body has decided to hibernate. Even though Spring really wants to be here. I had to turn on the fan last night because it's got so hot at night that I wake up in the wee hours of the morning in shock because I'm sooo hot.

Of course, sleeping most of the evening before bedtime doesn't help any.

Maybe my body wants to hibernate cos it's def cooler. I have pulled my sheepskins out of the cupboard and am wearing them along with a cardy and my legs are saying they need trackies on.

Spring has almost officially sprung in my neck of the woods, which is odd for Minnesota. I will not complain. The sun has been out and it has gotten into the 60s. It looks like next week we will be back to the 40s again. My place is so muddy, until at least the frost goes out. This kind of weather and the sun being out makes me ambitious. I spent about 3 hours outside working. I need to break myself in slowly after the winter and semi hibernation. :)

I made homemade donuts and buns (put those in the freezer). I have been trying out different recipes. I think I finally got some good ones and can use organic ingredients, etc. I need to use up eggs! I even boiled up a dozen eggs too. We are getting about 8-11 eggs per day and I am the only one who really likes eating them. lol

Fried eggs are great. Scrambled eggs on toast -- very good.

Hi, Lianam -- I don't think I've met you. Minnesota. I'll bet you're glad to see spring coming. :)

Good morning, everybody.

Hi, Pen. :) I reckon fall is on the way for you all down under.

12 hours sleep, Lorraine. You are lucky. Those days are a dim memory for me. I get 5-6 hrs., then wake up to take the pup out. I guess the neighbors wonder why I'm up at 3 AM, sometimes. But Dolly is a good and loyal doggie, so I don't mind. I'll wake up sometimes, to see her watching the door with a fierce expression on her face, like a little knight-ess.

I hope you all have a glorious day. It surely is pretty here.

Morning Jan and nice to meet you. No worries. Yes! Winter can get too long here, especially when it is overcast, gloomy, and freakin cold. I know the critters are happy too. :)

@Lorraine....See we need to be neighbors for more than the reason to share our fermented stuff/recipes, but to eat eggs together too! :D My chicks get the best organic, non-gmo, all the greens and bugs they can eat when the weather is right of course.

Another great day out. We did the chores, I separated some moo cows out into different areas, and we hauled recyclables off. I am taking a little break now before I go out and do a temp fix on a fence post until the frost gives and the mud dries up.

Morning Jan...yes offically we're in Autumn. It doesn't get called Fall over here. Mind you the weather has been warmer the last couple of weeks which isn't unusual and given the summer we had wouldn't be hard. As summers go over here it wasn't very hot this year.

Good aftermorning, Jan, Miss B, Lianam, Pen :)

Jan, I think my sleep patterns are in as big a flux as the weather at the mo. Last night: turn light off 12.30am, turn light back on 1.30am, play word game on phone till eyes heavy, turn light off 3am, wake properly just before 2pm. Nuts.

Lianam, I think we would make great neighbours! The only thing I miss on the boat is my vege garden and orchard but as my son still lives there I still get to share in the produce :)

A gloomy day here with no wind and somewhat warmer than yesterday. Autumn doing its usual flipflop.

Morning...Satira, MissB, Pen, Lianam, Terre, Lorraine, Seliah...good morning to everyone and hope I'm not missing anybody. :) Rainy this morning, but maybe it'll cool things off.

It'd be great if HW was a real community, and we were all neighbors. I remember the old days, when the community around here was close knit. It was a nice time.

Satira, I had those same thoughts this winter. I felt like I was hibernating, sometimes.

Lainam, I bet your critters are happy to see some warm weather coming. My critter likes cool weather -- she jumps around like a young sprout, while I stand there shivering and fussing.

Australian Autumn. That'd make a nice book title, Pen. Like Indian Summer -- that's when autumn is warm, here.

Lorraine, your body clock is set to night owl mode, sounds like. ;-) I used to love to read on the Kindle till my eyes got heavy, and the Kindle would end up sleeping with me. As she gets older though, Dolly gets more demanding...needs to be taken out more, gets fussy about her eating, wants doctoring...so I think I'm so tired, I fall asleep when my head hits the pillow. Plus I don't have the energy I did at one time. Maybe when the season changes, your sleep pattern will level out. Do you still go out on the boat, for days at a time?

I hope you all have a marvelous day!

Hi Jan :) It's cool here this evening and I'm rugged up under a blankie. Yeah, I'm an owl alright but I do like to be turning the light out about 2am. Last night I couldn't sleep, tossed and turned and when I did get to sleep, slept ridiculously long. I like to be up and about by noon most days, sometimes 11am. And I don't get out into the Bay anymore, me and Sans Souci are mooring bound now my engine defunked itself. It was 50 odd years old when it decided to go no more so now Souc is a houseboat.

Look at that, it's nearly 1am, I'll be heading off to bed in a while. But not just yet.

3 am is my magic hour, but with working, I try to call it a night at 1 am. That gives me 6-1/2 hours until it's time to get up for work. Tsuki prefers I get up earlier. Though, I'm not so sure whether it's that I get up or that it's time for her to gnaw on my feet and hands.

She had her first experience with the Great Outdoors since she was picked up as a kitten last Fall. Not that she got to go outside, but I opened the balcony door, and she spent a lot of time planted in front of the screen. Apparently, it started raining while I was napping, and now it's chilly. So, I closed the door ... which she wasn't particularly thrilled about. But, she's now napping on top of the plant cage, so all must be well in our world.

Other than me being chilly!

So, I'm headed back to the couch now that I'm done with dinner and I'm planting myself back under my nice warm blanket.

I get up at 6am for work so I tend to go to sleep about 11:30 but I shut off the computer long before then otherwise I can't sleep as my brain is too busy.

Good aftermorning!

Satira, I was dressed in trackies and under a blankie last night...it was a tad brrr! Today the sun is back and I'm in a summer dress again.

2am seems to be the time my brain say night, night naturally. But with the change in meds it's a little confused. Well, to be honest, it's always confused so shall we say, it's a bit confuseder! And my phone says confuseder is not a word! Huh! It is now ;)

I actually remembered to set my clocks before going to bed last night. LOL
Having to bounce back and forth every year does get confusing.

I don't mind it in the fall, because then we catch an extra hour of sleep. That's always better than losing an hour of sleep in the spring.

You know Terre, you could always move to Arizona. ;) My family in Tucson always laugh because we're still changing the clocks twice a year, which they haven't done since they moved out there about 40 or so years ago.

Now I have to remember that when I look at the clock on the stove or the clock in my car, that it's the actual time. Rather than displaying an hour ahead.

I soooo hate time change.
