Afternoon all...
I don't want to see the dirty mixing bowl Lorraine . . . I WANT TO SEE THE CHOCOLATE CAKE!!! :D
I was going to say I want to eat the cake and then saw Lorraine had posted a pic for us...

Hello, hello, hello! Hi Jan, hi, Miss B, hi one and all :)

Have bookmarked your BBC link to watch ashore, Jan, it looks fascinating.

And just for you, Miss B, CHOCOLATE CAKE! The remains of it, anyway ;)

View attachment 5310

We ate it with whipped cream and homemade ice cream last night plus Rose kept some. Nom.

Yumm....be honest Rose didn't take much you ate it all...looks so yummy! ;)

Wild raspberries, Terre! OMG that sounds so good! We have wild blackberries here, and they grow madly up north, but no raspberries. I love raspberries, on pavlova, in trifle, in icecream, or just folded into whipped cream. YUM!

And it's now 10.46 pm and I am eating left over chockie cake for supper :)

Afternoon all :) And another bright and sunny day here in Opua. I'm waiting for the tide to change so I can turn the Beast on. Another couple of hours yet so plenty of time to do my housework first. Oh joy, oh rapture! Not.

My chockie cake is going to be lunch as well, Satira. What a Very Bad Girl I am ;)

Yes indeed!

Coworker brought in a bag of chocolate halloween candies his dog managed to find hidden. Soo ... every time I passed the water cooler on my way to the rest room, mini Herseys, Almond Joy, Mr. Goodbar, and Crunch screamed ... Eat Me! Eat Me!

We're all moving offices in a month or so as we're getting a new supervisor, and the boss wants the three managers in the three end offices (which includes mine), so there are something like 8 out of 15 of us are moving offices. But upside to that is I'm moving back to one of my favorite offices which gets afternoon sun, so it's always nice and warm in the afternoon. And ... I won't be passing the watercooler anymore when I go to the restroom.

Of course, Kris, our candy pusher, is moving from the office beside me to a new office beside my new office. So, he will still be stopping by in the afternoon to give me my afternoon chocolate treat. He's positive that a daily dark chocolate treat will bring me over to the dark side of chocolate. It won't :p But I never turn down any kind of chocolate.

Good evening. :)

Lorraine, we also would pick other wild berries: currents (both red and black), chokecherries, strawberries, rose hips. Most got made into jellies and jams she made.

Satira, I'm a chocolate fiend too so I totes agree, never turn down chocolate in any form :)

Terre, that's so cool! Like I said, all we have is wild blackberries which I do like and it makes wonderful jam but oh, I do wish strawberries, raspberries and currants had jumped the fence too and run away to live wild. Chokeberries I've never seen nor eaten, are they nice too?

I can honestly say, I've never met a chocolate I didn't like (even love) on first sight. :D

Cooked down yes. Fresh... well... Once I scraped a freshly picked berry with my teeth. I never did that again. Prunus virginiana - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oh yeah, white is waaaaay too sweet. I'll eat milk chocolate, but dark chocolate's the best by far.

The only chocolate I'm not keen on is one with 'stuff' in it. I do prefer my chocolate plain...milk, white or dark.

So chokeberries are well named then, Terre. They sound somewhat like eating astringent persimmon, brrrr!

I must be a bit of a weirdo. I don't like chocolate or candies at all. :) I don't like sodas, either. I find all of them to be just too sweet for me. Drives my poor Bear nuts at times, I'll admit. He does NOT have the standard guy's shopping list!

Evening here for me... waiting for my stomach to settle down before I get back to work with Nataani's maps. I really don't like eating anymore at all. I always have a round of nausea afterwards. Waiting for that to pass and then I'll be getting back to work here.

Very strange weather here today; we got up to 76, and are supposed to drop down to 34 overnight, then back up to low 50's again tomorrow. Only in the Northeast can you have summer and winter in the same 24 hour period. LMAO

That nausea doesn't sound too good, Seliah! But it does sound like me of a morning. Can't eat for a few hours after rising but can then chow down like a rabid dog ;)
