I think Pendo should be Penda as O in Italian signifies male and I'm female. Also my Avatar name ends in A. Just my opinion though...
I can confirm (but are you Italian, Pen?) that.
Penda sounds more appropriate to a female than Pendo;
But what about Pendra? It sounds much better, in my opinion. Kind of cool!
On the other hand, Stezzo for a male sounds better to an Italian. Not to a Japanese, though.
Actually, I recall, long time ago on these pages someone was thinking, maybe because of the name, that Stezza was a female name.

Yep, Pendra does sound cool.
I'm not Italian...I did a short course on learning Italian years ago. Some of it sticks...I'm English/Armenian. My grandma was Armenian but I never met her as she passed before I was born. English is such a mix of things due to all the invasions they had. My mum's ancestors came over with William the Conqueror...

Stezza

Stezza is a slang word for a stereo. My kids used to blast the stezza all day long! lol

I always ended up yelling out 'turn that stezza down!'
and as it happens one day when the internets was young I was joining a group but needed a username and just at the same time the son walked in and said dad, come check out me new stezza.... and that's how it started. :inverted:

It's kinda like Warren whose name gets shortened to Wazza ..

'Mazza had a dekko at Wazza eating his dog's eye with some dead horse whilst the neighbour was chucking a sickie to walk his dishlickers' :sneaky:

make of that what you will :geek::snoopydances:

I don't speak that much Australian.
I think he's speaking a dialect I haven't come across previously. He's from top? of NSW's irrc. That brings them close to Queensland which tends to be very strange.

@Riccardo some were some weren't. The Dawn 2 stuff is recent. The morphs for Gen 8 were only done recently but were sitting on my computer.
The dforce sundresses for Gen 8 and Dawn were up there.

I have 106 folders in my shareCG download area. Some might only have one item but others have more. Birdman I have 38 items. Fairy Fantastic I have 21. Jan 19 I have 44 but many have only one item.

Some are actually empty as I lost a hard drive and folders were saved but not all of the contents. I still need to sort thru them all.

I started to keep downloads in folders of where I downloaded them from and within the folder the name of who made it years back.

I do a similar thing, but more detailed. I have, for instance, a folder for Genesis 8, under that a folder Characters and Morphs, a folder for Hair, a folder for Outfits and Textures...under that one for Conforming, one for dForce, one for Accessories (jewelry and such). A folder for Vehicles, under that one for Land, one for Water, one for Air, one for Sci-Fi. You get the idea.

Translation:

Marion had a look at Warren eating his meatpie with tomato sauce whilst the neighbour was not at work so he could walk his greyhounds :happydance::flower02:

@Stezza I could have sworn you were further north...I've never heard stezza used before.
The second post I knew post of the words you used with maybe the exception of dishlickers, my husband doesn't know that one either...you have developed your own dialect. rofl
Love Auntie Jack...I like the themesong better though.

My knowledge of Australian Dialect is admittedly very limited to what was popularized in American Pop Culture in the 80's by movies like Crocodile Dundee, Shrimp on the Barbie, and perhaps having watched the Road Warrior one too many times (ok, I lie, you can not watch the Road Warrior too many times — in fact I think I am going to go watch it again).

Mad Max .... me and me mates used to watch it at the drive in when it was first released. :happydance:

Mad Max 2 was renamed Road Warrior in the USA as it was thought that Americans would get confused with Mad Max! :inverted:

wow.. I thought every Aussie would know what a dishlicker is :D

I guess growing up with old blokes in a cricket and pigeon club rubs off on you, a lot of slang talk was used.

The Aunty Jack theme was filmed at Bombo quarry near Kiama NSW not far from where I lived.
In fact my granddaughter just spent this weekend camping on the beach there.

Yes, I'm aware. I have seen both. I do like the second much better than the first. I watched it so many times growing up. It is among a core handful of movies that are foundational to my tastes: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, War of the Worlds (1953), Conan, Forbidden Planet, Wrath of Khan, Robocop, Aliens, Ghostbusters, Dragonslayer, Anything Godzilla - all are movies I watched any chance I got.

I think you'll find the slang is diverse and dependent on states. It's like potato cakes which in someplaces they are called something very different.
Some things are probably more generic but no I've never heard the term dishlicker before and I used to work with some older people years back who used aussie slang quite a bit.

Thanks for adding the link to the theme song...
