You don't remember George Lazenby...In Her Majesty's Secret Service? Or more recently...The World is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies? Pierce Brosnan! (remember him from Remington Steele!)Can't say I recognize him. Then again, I only remember 3 James Bond characters played by Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and the most recent Daniel Craig. I don't recall any of those who were in that role between Roger Moore and Daniel Craig.

There have officially been eight actors to play James Bond. Nine, if you count Rowan Atkinson, who did a comedic take on the agent. Barry Nelson was before my time, back in 1954. Sean Connery was the Bond I knew first, starting in 1962. David Niven, played Bond for one movie, right after Connery, Then Lazenby, then Roger Moore, then Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and finally, Daniel Craig. You don't remember George Lazenby...In Her Majesty's Secret Service? Oh I remember Pierce Brosnan, but mostly as Remington Steele, not as James Bond. George Lazenby's name I remember only because back then everyone (or at least everyone I knew) thought he wasn't suited for that role. Now that I picture him, I definitely thought he wasn't.You don't remember George Lazenby...In Her Majesty's Secret Service? Or more recently...The World is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies? If I recall correctly, Brosnan was actually in talks to be James Bond at one point but couldn't get out of his contract as Remington Steele, so they chose Timothy Dalton. Not all of those were official James Bond movies. And I didn't know of any before Sir Sean.
OK, Barry Nelson was in a TV adaption of Casino Royal. An episode of Climax! Mystery Theater. David Niven was in a spoof of spy movies, Casino Royal. The official Bond film, Casino Royal, starred Daniel Craig as Bond.
I was simply astonished that a few well known ones were not remembered. Especially since the Pierce Brosnan movies were so highly anticipated. I remember saying, years before he did them that he would make a good Bond. Someone obviously agreed with me.

Since no one named her, that's Judy Garland, dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Movie used to come on one of the network stations every year, and we'd watch it dutifully. Now that it's on my streaming networks all the time, watching it's not as much fun as it used to be.Remember her???? Liza's mother.
