Remember These???

I don't remember them, either, not even the them songs. I did, however, recognize a few people. In Cannonball, there is William Campbell, who played Trelane in Star Trek (later revealed to be a Q in a Star Trek novel). And in Bourbon Street Beat there's Van Williams, who played The Green Hornet.

That was Peter David, rewriting a bit of history in Star Trek by making Trelane a Q. Of course, that's just speculation on my part. Trelane was supposed to be a child, but he needed to focus his power through a mirror, if I recall the episode correctly. When the mirror was broken, he lost his power. Voyager and TNG had a child Q even younger than Trelane, but neither of them needed to focus their power through anything.

I imagine that's a common dialog in the show? I remember the theme song, that's about it. I guess I was too young.
Not really common "dialog", but you could see Edd Byrnes combing his hair, and then see the others driving off in their car while he spun around and headed back to wherever he usually was while they were off doing whatever they were doing.

Later in the series there were more cast members, so he was usually seen with the others "in their office".

Well, I don't know enough about it, but after he couldn't get his way, his parents talked to him. I think he didn't really need the mirror. I think it was just a point of focus for him. If he was like a child in his species, perhaps that was a way of teaching the mind to focus. I don't know. The book was OK'ed by everyone involved in the continuance of the Star Trek universe, so I'd imagine that his explanation of who Trelane is was accepted. They were always very strict on the origin stories and such.

Of course, in recent years with the new series, they have played around a lot with the storyline.

I don't recall either commercial, but I certainly remember Borden's Milk and Sanka Coffee and, of course, Peter Graves and Robert Young.
