The Name of the Game with Robert Stack, Tony Franciosa, & Hugh O'brien. They split the series between the three; each of them taking a weekly episode.

Remember this?????
David Janssen(sp?) starred in this detective show after he had lost his immortality from his previous series.
ETA: I just watched the intro clip, and it's two Ns, not Ss.
Remember this??????
Buddy Epsen as a private eye after he lost his fortune and moved out of the mansion with Jethro and Ellie Mae (Granny must've kicked the bucket). I think Lee Meriwether was his secretary / Girl Friday. The producer, whose name I think was Hal Martin or something, had another P.I. show called Cannon, whose star's name escapes me, though the character was named Frank Cannon. The producer had an old P.I., a fat P.I., and another P.I. that I haven't thought about in so long I can't summon it.

Boy, those intros brought back vague memories. The music is so familiar. I knew Quincy Jones wrote the Ironside theme, but I didn't know Jerry Goldsmith had written TV themes, and Dave Grusin's name was on a couple of my favorites.

I'm assuming most of that was a joke, but essentially correct except, Epsen played a private eye who had retired and turned his business over to his son. His son was murdered, so Epsen came back and worked with Lee Merriweather who was supposed to be his daughter in law. The producer was named Quinn Martin and yes, he had a LOT of cop shows at the time, including Cannon, which starred William Conrad. I even remember one episode where Barnaby Jones and Cannon crossed-over.

David H______ former baseball player went on to co-host the Today show or another morning show.
Well, yes and no. His name is David Hartman and yes, he was the first host of Good Morning America. I looked it up and while he did play baseball, he never played professionally. He went into acting, which is where I knew him from.
