The show was in black and white during the first five years on ABC. It moved to CBS around 1965 and was filmed from then on in color.

Green Acres was the spin-off. But because the shows had pretty much the same characters, they all became interelated with The Beverly Hillbillies.

Yes. Even in Lifeboat which had a limited cast, Hitchcock's photo is on a newspaper page that floats by.

Stephen King has made some cameos though I don't think in every movie. Not sure. May be worth looking into.
