Actually, I'm not really that familiar with her. I have seen her and heard her on on tv, but only in movies or ads for oldies. By the time I started listening to music, she had mostly retired from music. And growing up, the radio stations in my town were really segregated until the 70s. I listened mostly to black music during the day, and top 40 at night because it was really the only station on the air.
