Hyena are really frightening animals! I was relieved to find out they aren't related to dogs.

I watched a documentary about them and they can actually be very sweet and kind of cuddly. The man had a rescue thing going for them and he would spend time with them. So while they are wild and are only trying to survive they are sentient enough to know kindness when extended without it looking like dinner on two legs! LOL

This colorful agama is the Rainbow Agama. It is native in a wide range of countries, which now include southern Florida where it was introduced through the reptile trade.

Not only is this Agama on the hunt, but it had better watch out, because there is a Verreaux's Eagle on the hunt too.

I read somewhere Blender has an addon to do mumurations which is why I first got into it. Still haven't tried it yet.

Now that was definitely interesting. Living here in NY City I see lots of birds, mostly looking for food, but never a murmuration. I get the feeling I would be totally mesmerized if I did see one.

We used to get them through my neighborhood around January. For 3-4 days everything would be covered in birds. And they they would be gone. I never saw them from enough of a distance to see the whole "field" of flying birds, but they definitely had us on their migration route.

Haven't seen them for some years now. They may have shifted their path.

Ours may have been grackles, rather than starlings, though.

This makes a lot of sense:

"Birds have a much higher temporal resolution than we do," says Pesendorfer, meaning that birds take in certain information around them and process it much more quickly than humans. "They see much faster than we do."

Birds are fascinating!

For anyone who hasn't seen it I highly recommend David Attenborough's Life of Birds. They went above and beyond to get great photography. From what I heard they put cameramen in little shacks up in trees for a couple weeks at a time.
