Having trouble posing Harry's tail ...

WillowRaven

I normally use psd main n tail packs for my horses, but I have to pose a bunch in the distance and thought maybe the included Harry tail & mane would suffice, but for some reason, they don't want to pose using any of my pose packs that come with tail-specific poses. Is there something I should be doing first?

Mods ... If I posted this in the wrong spot, please move it for me.

Hmm.. so you are saying you have some pose packs that have tail only poses? Regradless, make sure you have Harry selected in the scene- not the tail and then apply the desired pose. See if that works...

What pose packs are you using?

Helps to know what pose pack and what program you are using but like CWRW said, to pose mane/tail/fetlocks the Horse needs to be selected (not the individual parts)

Thanks for putting me in the right spot :)

The pose pack I was trying was Daio's Show Off set. Some tail-only poses are included in that. And selecting Harry rather than the tail did the trick. Only problem is, I loaded two extra tails thinking if I had three tails rather than one, making minor adjustments to the poses would make the tail look fuller. But if I select Harry to pose the tail, it poses all three. So I then tried to pose each tail a bit differently after applying the initial pose. I think that looks ok. Thanks :)

They are nice poses. I use them a lot for the mane/tails.

There should be a dial that will make the tail look fuller (as well as one that will make it look wavy which makes it look a bit fuller too) as I think you'll find having the extra tails will make it render longer.
