Oops, wasn't being disagreeable, Pen, sorry if that's how it came across 
Just reiterating my comment on his later books. I really didn't like them and was sooooo disappointed in them. It's like having his wife as co-author removed the humour and that's what made them great to begin with. Sorry again, Pen

As far as series ending because of a problem the author had my big one was Lord Darcy. Two books of short stories with a novel in between and then he gets a head injury that put an end to his writing. His wife had to finish the Gandalara series by herself using the notes they had put together while his brain still worked. Oops. Randall Garrett is the author.

First week back with the kids will do that to you. Once you're back into your usual routine, it'll be easier.

We all have different/overlapping tastes, you might like the stories.
I know there is at least one novel written by another author with Mrs. Garrett's permission. I've considered getting that and seeing if it's worth it. I didn't take a close look when it first came out because the cover illo had Master Sean dressed properly but unless he was in disguise Lord Darcy certainly wasn't.

Uh oh! Yesterday we were expecting 1-2 inches of snow. It's gone up to 4-8 inches!
