The Anchorage, Part 3

Just been telling Seliah about her :) She wrote the original (after Jane Austen, of course) Regency romps, all dashing heroes and beautiful heroines but all set in a historical context that she researched thoroughly. But her heroines and heroes marry for love with chaste kisses the only sex you see. I love them and have all 42 she wrote here on the boat with me and they will remain in the boat, even if I got the digital copies. Some of them I got in my teens, the rest in my 20's and they are very precious to me.

I haven't read any Jane Austen since high school. Currently I'm more into what's referred to as Historical Romance, most of which take place in Scotland, not England, and a favorite series of mine takes place during Robert the Bruce's fight to get his crown as King of Scotland back, and defeat the English.

What I like about these is there's always a touch of history in each and every book, and that makes it interesting because it's just not how the two main characters wind up together, even though they both initially fight it tooth and nail.

In the books I usually read in this genre, however, there's a lot more than innocent kissing going on. ;)

Correct, we had one I think when the old forum first started back in 2013, but I don't think it lasted long.

yes... I figured out how to make a pm... but I hate to keep bugging Alisa... lol
I'm trying to work with Dawn in my Poser 9 and I can't seem to find any pose morphs for body parts... I can't even make her smile... or frown :( ... no eye movement.. no expressions of any kind . Not in the head and not in the body. Not sure what i'm doing wrong... there's no little "actor" tab

DAZ has a chat room? That must be something new, because they never had one with the old forums.

I'm not sure that many folks here would use a chatroom... I've never heard of "Chatty" before. The only group "chatroom" I use myself is an AIM group chat, which has a bunch of us writers that all participate in the same RP game in it. I do use IMs/PMs a lot, but not many chatrooms.

As far as Dawn and her morphs. Here's how you get access to her morphs in Poser.

1.) Load Dawn. Make sure she is selected.
2.) Now go to "Pose" - look for Dawn's folder - there should be a folder there named "INJ Morphs."
3.) Select each of these INJ files and apply them to Dawn.
4.) Now you can find the morphs loaded in Dawn's parameters.

With Poser, all morphs must be injected to Dawn first, before you will be able to use them. DS applies these morphs automatically, but Poser requires the user to inject them.

Does that help at all?

Hi Llola, not really sure what you mean by a chat room as my interwebbing forum life has been confined to HW. But we do chat in different threads and this is one of them. Anyone is welcome to pop in and say hi and chat about whatever. Hope Seliah was able to help you and we see you again :)

Thanks Lorraine.. I wasn't sure where to "chat" ... I'm trying Seliah's suggestion now. I guess I didn't realize the expressions.. etc.. needed to be INJECTED first. Daz loads them in right away.
I'll keep yas posted.. thank you :)

Yep. In Daz, the morphs are installed to the /data/ folder, and appear on the figure automatically for you when you load it.

Poser requires the INJ/REM .pz2's, and the user must load those .pz2's onto the figure first - including the expression morphs - before they will be able to use any of the morphs in Poser. :)

Here's a tip... this is what I did with the older Poser versions (and what I did recently with Dusk when I was just trying to get Nataani converted) -- Load your Dawn, inject all of her morphs. Get her all set up. Then, go back to your Figures folder, and save a new file... I called mine "Dawn With Morphs" to the folder.

Then anytime after that, you can just load the "Dawn With Morphs" .cr2 instead, and you will have all of the morphs already injected into the figure and won't need to go over to the Pose folder to do it. ;) Just make sure you have ALL of her morphs injected to her first, before saving the new .cr2 to the Figures folder.

Sounds interesting, Miss B. I like historical novels myself though I have to say I've got very bored with all the between the sheets that pervades so many books these days. I'm not a prude, I'm just bored with it. So I tend to not read them or do a lot of skipping whilst say "rhubarb, rhubarb" ;)

That's why I like the historicals, because there's so much more to the story to keep you interested. Anyway, the author's name is Monica McCarty, and I've read the first 9 novels in the series, and numbers 10 and 11 just came out the past month and a half. She's also published a Novella for the series that I haven't read yet.

There's also 2 trilogies she's written, both of which I read before getting hooked on her Highland Guard series. I'll PM you with a link to her site in a few. ;)
