I haven't heard Sweet Caroline in ages!

But then ... I watch virtually no commercials.

See how much better Netflix, Amazon Prime, and even Hulu + are?

Thought I forgot my password for this forum. I tried to reset it but decided one more time to try. I got in. I guess I can just ignore the password reset request.

Ahhh, now we're talking. I've seen Neil Diamond in concert at Madison Square Garden, but then that was a long time ago as well. If we hadn't moved when I was almost 12, I would've gone to the same high school as Neil Diamond, and Barbra Streisand as well, but she would've been a senior when I started, so I wouldn't have really gotten to know her.

Oh and McG, I'm a Springsteen fan as well. I've seen him twice in concert over the years. Once out in NJ, and once at the Nassau Coliseum.

OK! You asked for it! We're loading the catapults as I speak. That's three million copies of Barry Manilow sings The Very Best of Anthrax on uranium-enriched vinyl (Sorry! We've had them in storage at Sellafield Nuclear Processing Plant!) heading your way....

Oh! Damn it! Hang on. We've got a problem with the catapult's propulsion system....

Thinks: Remember to nip into town for three thousand yards of industrial strength knicker elastic tomorrow! End of Thinks!

May I just say that I really, REALLY hate being on antibiotics. I no sooner finished the last round, then I had to go back on them.

I have done practically nothing but sleep since Thursday evening.

Oh ... and Tsuki isn't all that happy with me since I've put her back in the collar. She had a spot on her leg where she's been overgrooming, and then when I removed the collar, she dug a spot under her neck. So ... back in the collar again.

Caught up on the latest weather reports which is now telling us that Hurricane Girt, which appears to have given up the ghost somewhere west of Ireland, has dragged a lot of warm air in it's wake and that we will soon be enjoying temperatures in the mid-twenties. Yippee! Warm summer rain at last! :snoopydances:

It sure isn't. ANd now I'm itching like crazy because I ate a pear earlier today. I just checked, and they WERE organic. So ... I guess I just can't tolerate pears anymore.

So sad :(

Ummmm..... Satira, the sad truth is that some people lie.
As Portales discovered back with the crisis that started with Trader Joe's peanut butter some farmers claim to be producing organic food but aren't. The now defunct company called Sunland that produced Trader Joe's and a lot of other stuff had a lot of local peanut suppliers and at least one of those farms was selling non-organic produce to Sunland as organic. Perhaps more than one. The pear could have been labeled organic without actually being so.

That's very true. It could have been too.

I believe pears are also one of those crops that are treated with antibiotics. Unfortunately, organic crops can be treated with antibiotics and still be sold as organic. Depending on the antibiotic being used, I could be reacting to that also.

It's possible you're reacting only to the antibiotic, and not the pear itself. It's sad when we can't eat the foods we're so used to eating anymore. My favorite fruit was always oranges, and of course orange juice, but once I had that kidney stone, I had to stop eating them, and drinking the juice, because I never want to experience that again. :(

One more reason to grow your own food. Who would even think that antibiotics are used in organic (????) fruit. I no longer trust anything in the commercial food chain. I have my chickens, my garden and I guess will try to stay with reputable rice and grain suppliers for my staples.

And come pesticides like Bt can be used and still labeled as organic. I only found out about it because a friends birds all got sick from eating 'organic ' kale.

I hope you both get better soon. I'm dealing with Sweethearts medical issues right now. It's no fun for her and no fun for me. Take those antibiotics and get better soon. k?
