searching for utility to find duplicate files on hard drive?

I think I have duplicate files on my hard drive but it will take forever to find them. Is there a free utility to find the duplicate files and report them to me so I can decide which ones to keep.

Any of these should work. Beware of Junkware. Only select what you need. What you DON'T need is an extra toolbar or an extra virus scanner that does nothing.

Two utilities I have been using are:
Checksum Compare
and
Winmerge

I have been using Checksum Compare more because I have been comparing directory backups from before and after my twin 2Tb Hard Drives developed errors. Checksum Compare highlights files based on similarity not just of name, but compare the MD5 and CRC of the files - reducing the odds of accidentally deleting 2 similarly named files as they will have different checksums.

I'm a bit of a packrat, an unorganized one apparently. Of the apps I tried, Duplicate Cleaner worked the best. The basic app is fairly straight forward, but it can take some time to figure out all the features. For instance, after doing a search it has an option to automatically select all of the matches found in a particular folder.
