Rublon Security App and iOS 11

The Rublon login security app is not compatible with iOS 11, so anyone who updates their iOS device won’t be able to use it ... and the Rublon app hasn’t been updated in a couple of years anyway. I suppose they could release an update soon but I’m not going to bet on it.

Any other options available or planned for secure sign-in to Hivewire?

Or is the Rublon thingy even necessary here anymore?

Rublon for iOS 11 is coming

Dear Rublon user,

Thank you for using the Rublon app for iOS. Please forgive us for not having yet published an updated Rublon app that supports iOS 11. We are very busy with the development of this update right now and will make an internal release tomorrow that we will start testing. We believe that we should be able to push the new app to the App Store by the end of next week. The new Rublon app will be a total remake based on the latest mobile technologies.

Meanwhile, if possible, please wait for the new Rublon app before updating to iOS 11. It is usually a good idea to wait a couple of weeks before updating your operating system to a new major version. Some bugs are often found only after many people start using the new OS. Fixing them takes time, which means that it's better to wait a little if you want a stable phone.

If you want to update to iOS 11 now, please go ahead, but you will not be able to use the current Rublon app anymore unfortunately. In that case, please use the "email" authentication method for authenticating via Rublon Two-Factor Authentication until the new version of the Rublon app for iOS is released.

Please note that the Rublon app for Android is not affected by this and is fully operational on all phones with Android 2.3 or higher.
