I Just had O'connell Oil in Massachusetts refuse to deliver Emergency Heating Assistance I qualified for and was approved for - and they are the only vendor the program uses. THIS is why people freeze to death in the U.S. Apparently O'connell is unregulated (this is the same company that failed to deliver oil after my father's death causing over $10,000 damage to the estate).

and now that "you know who" is back in charge his cabinet will probably deregulate even more. I'm sorry you are going through this issue Kage!

Sadly this is all too common for my life, and why I have no reprieve from my depression. The systems that govern our society are inexorably broken on so many levels. This incident is just the perfect example. I am trying to wrap my head around how, in a state where it is illegal for utility companies to shut off service in the winter even for non-payment, where the vast majority of residents rely on oil, oil companies can refuse tp deliver even when payment is authorized...especially when payment is authorized through and emergency payment program. Worse, I can not accept or forgive how many people in various state regulatory offices and legal service agencies are ok with this, and push the burden back on to me to "not be on public assistance". I did not ask to be disabled...but the world sure is not doing my depression any good because I just can not accept this level of ignorance and complacency.
