malware and malwarebytes problem

I think I have malware but I cannot get malwarebytes to install on Windows 10. I think it was due to a night of insomnia and downloading stuff I was not supposed to. I tried my best to remove all that crap but I think something remained.

Sometimes malware itself prevents malwarebytes from installing. Did you try changing the name of the malwarebytes exe file? Sometimes that allows it to install.

Thanks and now I am installing blueberrypie.exe. Not sure why I named it that. Maybe I am craving blueberry pie.

You can also try adwcleaner. It's free and does better than Malwarebytes for me- it finds files to delete that the other misses.

You could also try to boot windows in safe mode and then install Malwarebytes.

Sorry for late response but I will try that. I think I already got my problem resolved but just in case something got left behind.
