• Welcome to the Community Forums at HiveWire 3D! Please note that the user name you choose for our forum will be displayed to the public. Our store was closed as January 4, 2021. You can find HiveWire 3D and Lisa's Botanicals products, as well as many of our Contributing Artists, at Renderosity. This thread lists where many are now selling their products. Renderosity is generously putting products which were purchased at HiveWire 3D and are now sold at their store into customer accounts by gifting them. This is not an overnight process so please be patient, if you have already emailed them about this. If you have NOT emailed them, please see the 2nd post in this thread for instructions on what you need to do

thanks for the memories and the friendship I received from current, past and late members I wish all the users wherever you may be good luck in your future endeavors .. :flower02: :inverted::love:

I did this song in anticipation a while ago... well not very long ago...

thanks all :beehive:

Wow! That moved me right to tears, very nicely done.

I was not a very active person here but the amazing critter creations of HW3D helped me through rough patches in the past decades. It is sad to see an entire book closed but it seems it's inevitable that these places all go away and close as certain industries push their artless creations forward for soulless, quick images, their bits stolen from artists. I hope true art and beauty can still flourish. Take care y'all!

I have enjoyed, thoroughly, my visits to this forum over the years and am shocked and saddened to hear of it's ending. I would like to thank, again, you (Chris) and others here for the support you gave to me in my short adventure into a 3D store supporting Hivewire 3D models and products, as well as DAZ things to a lesser degree. Wonderful people I've met here in the business and forums side. I will miss it greatly. My visits to this forum are actually a part of my daily morning ritual. It's the first forum I visit, often even before I open Thunderbird to look at my emails. Thank you all so much!

WOW. Another chapter closing. I want to thank you Chris and all the wonderful folks for all their creative works to help us achieve our artistic endeavors. It's too bad the HiveWire forums couldn't be brought over to the 'Rosity forums, like their own little niche with sub forums to keep it alive. While many of us have moved on this has been a place I check in every day to see what's what. Sure things have slowed down but there are many of us that relish a little HiveWire fix every day. It is understandable for the closure but yea, I'll miss this place and the familiar faces that I don't normally see elsewhere. Blessing and Love to you all. :balloon03:

As the others have said, sad but understandable. Forums don't run or pay for themselves, do they?

I had a look, but couldn't see any direct way of downloading or printing forum posts for posterity. Unless anybody out there can tell me otherwise, I'll assume I need to copy-and-paste anything I want to keep.

I imagine you could use the browser's "Save page as..." function. You'd have to save the images, though, I think. I haven't done this in a while, so I'm not sure, don't remember. Probably, you'd have to look at the HTML to see the folder structure and make that at the destination and put the images in that structure.

Hi Bob , you can click the Sharing icon top right corner then select " Long Screenshot " after you selected post or posts , you can click again share and print post out as image or save it as PDF , at least on my Android phone I can do it

I've been doing that and pasting it into Obsidian as it allows me to put things in folders and name what the thread is.

I must check this out, hopefully it means you don't get all the rubbish that you don't need in a document.
Edited to add:
Just checked and chrome has options but at the moment I'm happier to keep copy and pasting as it will keep some of the links. I will just have to eventually edit out some that aren't really important.

I've saved my thread as it contains advice people have given as well as being a record of what I'm doing...huh...just realised I do keep a diary of sorts like my mum did.
