Help with Hippogryph

Elemental

New-Bee
I love the new Hippogryph that came out from FreyrStrongart but I'm having a difficult time figuring out the wings. I own Feathered Wings For All from 3D Universe as the product description advises. The description says "Included are two different texture sets. Hierarchical materials make it easy to change all materials at one click, including the wings (provided you use the Feathered Wings from 3D Universe)" but when I try to apply the hierarchical material presets (the icons show the wings textured) it does not change the wings whether I have the wings or the Hivewire Horse itself selected. The base wings only come with white, black, and a greyish material. I'm not certain how to get the brown shown in the screenshots, let alone the vibrant parrot or phoenix colors. The description mentions diffuse channels but that is a bit out of my depth. I'm not certain what that is.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. :)

@Elemental, the wings need to be parented to the horse for Hierarchical mats to work eg: the wings will most likely load underneath the horse (or above it if you added them first), once parented it should be inside the horse node (I hope that makes sense?)

@Boni, not from FreyrStrongart, she's not a poser user so unless someone wants to convert it for her (with her permission of course) someone else will need to come up with one.

The "Wings for All" need to be parented to the Chest2 (or Chest1 - I've been using a bunch of different products lately and don't remember which one it is off the top of my head) of the HiveWire Horse (it is in the readme and on the icon note) Once that is done, everything loads fine.

Also, you do have to have the texture add-on to get the Firebird and Peacock, I'm assuming that you do have that, too.
If you have other questions, please do ask them!

That was my issue. I selected the wings and used the Feathered Wings pose "!Base Pose for Parenting" which made them look right but didn't actually parent them to Chest2. As soon as I dragged them there the hierarchal materials worked. Thanks a ton for the help!!
