Is filter forge good? Also how do I get the latest version?

I've been using Filter Forge since Version 1, and I like it a lot. There's a huge repository of filters folks have created for use with it located on their site. Check it out here --> Filter Forge
I see they're having a sale that's ending today, so check it out and see if you like it. IIRC, they have tutorials somewhere on their site, so you can see how it works.

I would like to get it today but broke until next week or something like that. (AKA no money right now)
Actually they have regular sales, and some of the older versions are given away for free, at giveawayoftheday.com and such on occasion. It can be a lot of fun to play with. They also have a thing where if your created textures/settings are selected you can get a version for free. (you can download a trial version to do that with, if I remember.)
