Do the Winged Horse wings work without Harry?

I do a lot of winged humanoid pics, and I've been using RawArt's Feathered Wings since back when RawArt had a store, because they are the most anatomically correct ones I've seen released anywhere. But they have a double feather layer. Harry's wings look pretty good anatomy-wise, no extra joints that I can see from promos, and I love the single layer of feathers that allow for translucency. Has anyone tried them on a humanoid? Do they have a morph or any capability to change the distance between the wing bases, and will the morphs work without being parented to Harry?

I haven't tried on on a human, but I have on the HW Big Cat, from memory (which isn't very trustworthy) I just used the Foal dial, manually positioned them and then parented them to the chest (besides changing colour I don't remember doing anything else).
