Is there anyone here still developing products for Dawn 2.0?

I think Cath was the last person to post any WIP for Dawn 2.0 - and that was way back in Mar 2022

It appears that the eagerness and excitement here has dissipated.
I had several products beta-tested and ready for her release, but now I’m reworking them for LaFemme2.

Is there any way this forum could be revitalised?

Not doing anything right now with Dawn 2 as it's halted and not going to bother until we have a firm date for her release. It's getting to be a bit obnoxious waiting at this point.

Firstly, I know:

A reminder that this is the OFFICIAL HIVEWIRE 3D DAWN 2 THREAD. PLEASE KEEP IT FOR THAT PURPOSE ONLY

Discussions about software, your specific creations for Dawn 2, how to do things in Poser or DAZ Studio, and other off topic things should go in other threads.

I am going to move any new posts that are completely off topic elsewhere. I know there have been off topic posts through this thread, but I honestly don't want to take the time or energy to go back and move things.

My suggestion: Consider opening up this thread for ALL past Hivewire 3D Contributing Artists to post here what they are still working on for Dawn2's release.
See if that might give Dawn2 back some of her lost momentum.

Hi, Doug -

While I appreciate your suggestion, it's not something we will do.

What you quoted still stands - this thread is ONLY for the official Dawn products by HiveWire 3D, not for people who are creating products for her.

Note that even Cath has a separate thread for posting things that will be Mec4D products, as opposed to HiveWire products.

When Cath has something to post, I know she'll do so .

Maybe an ordinary user could start a thread for contributing artists? Llike Mec4D's, only open to everyone.

I can certainly start a thread like that. It just can't be THIS thread .

BUT: the problem is it will probably become very confusing, with questions and information about different people's products from different people. Is there some reason what we have now it isn't working to have each former CA start a thread, if they are creating products for Dawn 2? Several have already done so. That way, comments and questions will be much more clear as to who/what is being addressed, and people can subscribe only to threads they are interested in.

I think the problem is threads work better if there's a certain critical mass. The complaint about this thread is that it's moribund. I think people want a shared thread, where more people will be participating.

I think some would like a thread that has collected information from multiple creators possibly to see what all is in the works in one place, and to gauge how much support Dawn 2 might have. Certainly having the first a second post by someone willing to edit it from time to time to like to WIP threads for Dawn 2 and various CAs product threads would be a boon to such a thread. Just my thoughts.

Ok, folks, the thread is there. Please discuss other WIPS in that thread. I may just delete the posts in this thread from Doug's request on, and just make one small post linking people to the new thread. I'll give it a few days so people have a chance to read these posts.
