Reinstalling DS, converting things to Dawn and Diva and my experiments along the way

Couple of quick renders.
Dawn 2 wearing Willow and Blaine Hair. One with random morphs the other no morphs.

Converting Hair again today. Hit a problem with Harper Beanie Hair by April today as I was missing the textures.
I googled to see if I could redownload the file as I couldn't find it in my files.

Luckily I did find it at April Vanity which has some good freebies for Genesis 3 and 8 but also found some additional textures by MMAlbert at Rendo. Worth checking out...

Thank you. It's fairly easy converting the hair as I converted most of them to dawn over a period of time. So using the dawn se clone and the short hair template I've made it's relatively easy for most of them. Every now and then you come across one that is tricky.

Cooler than originally anticipated today. Yesterday was over 40 degrees and we were meant to get another two days of over 40 but they are no saying it will only get to 31degrees celsius today.
That being the case I decided to start converting some of the clothing I made for Dawn SE to Dawn2.
Starting with the sundress which so far is cooperating nicely.

Remaining base poses, next is checking the fbm's to see how well they work.
I did think the sitting crossed legged pose might prove difficult but it surprised me in that it worked quite well but she does need some undies.

Some of the FBM's so far DS has autofitted to them really well, add in the dforce and so far no real problems. Although to be honest I'm not sure that many will be using the dress with Bodybuilder 2 or the obese shapes at 100percent. Not bad at 50 percent though.

Did really well until I reached the pregnant body shape which seemed to cause problems with dforce. Ended up going back to the beginning.
Fingers crossed it works on other poses.

It's worked quite well with the basic poses not that I think a pregnant person is going to be doing a lot of running.

I have done a few textures in the linen. There is also one in a print with the ribbon I just haven't done a render yet. I've been busy with projects around the home. Doing some resorting in my study which is a mess at the moment and making some loose covers for our dining chairs out of calico. It's not worth using expensive fabric until I see if the cats try to scratch them which is why the original upholstery needs covering.

I started working on the shoulder length hair template. This is going to require more work than the short hair template. Looking at the Genesis 9 version for guidance indicates I'll need to do joint control morphs and also maybe some mcm's also.
Medusa Hair converted from my Dawn conversion. Bending forwards did require careful use of the morphs from the original hair.

Just tried Ghostship's free eyes for Poser.
The mc6 files apply the iris texture only but they can still be used via the surface tab

It is worth checking out the freebie section for Dawn 2 products. This is Another face by Elleque which has fibermesh brows.

So Elleque's another face wearing a genesis 8female freebie from Alienontrack
Note: This really required the mesh to just be moved forward and slightly down no really changes to the body some minor fiddling with the straps so they fit better. Dawn 2 seems to be very similar in shape to genesis 8 fem. I will try and remember to look into this more closely with a view to doing a pose to create a clone for Dawn 2 so she can wear Genesis 8 clothing

Definitely not perfect yet...my hair and horns, face and ear morphs. Fibermesh from Zbrush built on a hair cap. I've already fixed sides. Rendering now will post when finished.
