Oh purdy. Look what just dropped in. They just brought bananas out, and it brought in more activity.

What are these Ken?

Sweet, I think the birds feeding on the fruit are Dusky-faced Tanagers on your first captures...

The latest one, that large bird with the blue tail is a Rufous Motmot... I'm pretty that the olive colored birds are a type of female tanager but I'll have to look up the scarlet one by the hummingbird feeder

I don't think I've ever seen an orange and turquoise colored bird.

I have a motmot (a different species from the orange and turquiose one ) in SBRM Yucatan.
The key identifier with Motmots (which you can't see from the screen cap) is the end of their tail has paddle-like shapes feathers

The Motmot came back just before nightfall... I got a better shot of his tail feathers. You'll see they look normal then towards the end the feathers stop with only the feather shaft continuing and then form those paddles I talked about. If you're looking for motmots on the cam, the best time will be early morning or towards dusk Panama time (EST)

Cool. Thanks Ken.

Yeah I've been on the phone with one of my sons in NY and was telling him about this too. I sent him the link, and he's running it on his TV in his apartment. He's all about the birds too, so he's digging this. I was checking out some of the other cams also. Very cool stuff. Been watching highlights of a Peregrine Falcon in Baltimore feeding it's chicks, and a female hummingbird on it's nest in California.

Very cool stuff here Ken. Thanks for the link. Just the sounds in the background are a delight.

Funny, I was watching that bird come in again at the same time. Then 2 minutes later the camera switched to night vision mode. Must be on a timer for 6:15 pm.

Very interesting indeed. The shape of the paddles at the end of it's tail is very unique.

Years ago I used to watch a Penguin live cam an acquaintance had told me about. It was interesting when they were up and moving about.

Caught this cool lil' blue bird in my screen grab net just now. Don't know what it is, but it's a beauty.

I finally caught some birds!

A pretty speckled bird, a red bird, and a shy yellow bird in the opposite corner

And then ... the big birds flew in!

I'm watching that cam now, WOW! So many different kinds of birds! And after someone put out some kind of melon a squirrel came and stole a piece.
