pants after saving don't load anymore

I am working on pants for d-force. I had to rework the pair that was working fine and now they don't load anymore once I have saved a scene and reopen it again. The pants have been saved as assets and then as wearables. I load them without problem, save the scene and then open it again. And.... I only get the grey stand-in blocks. I delete the pants, reload them and they load fine. Does anybody have an idea what is going on here and how I can fix that bug?
