With my daughter's help (she's doing a marketing/communications degree) I'm trying to set up a more professional presence on the web to help promote my products as they are released. With this in mind...I've just started to set up a blog which can be found here for anyone who is interested.

I will be trying to publish twice a week with my first post going live tomorrow.

My daughter has set me up a blog plan detailing exactly what I need to post and when. I'm probably driving her crazy at the moment though with all my questions.

She's also looking to set up Social media and an online marketing plan...:squee:

Ohhh, I'm loving the background image Pen. Lovely, and a good advertisement of your artistic versatility. :)

I've worked with WP for some of my web design clients, but not at WordPress.com, so wasn't sure what type of themes they offer, but the one your daughter has set up is nice, and you probably won't have any problems working with it. The only thing I would suggest, and this is JUST a suggestion, is to create a logo for the link in the upper left corner, as it will show up more. Right now it's kind of lost as the background image is the first thing I noticed, and then the links at the top right. A nice logo on a transparent background (PNG) in a nice font, would add to the design.

Yeah...already on it Miss B. She already had a chat about Logos and I need to come up with something. I'm rather limited at the moment as it is a free account but there was a section for logos. Still setting stuff up like links to Twitter...

No rush, just wanted to mention it, as it was the one thing that I noticed could be useful, as the plain text is kind of lost.

Had a slight hiccup with the blog going live the posts are showing up as posted but not showing on the blog page. I'm going to have to get my daughter to have a look for me...

Probably something in the template. There should be code to pull in all the posts. I don't know how much access you have to the code with a blog on WordPress.com, but if she has access, she should be able to figure it out.
