Any info on ARTRaiders (formerly Pretty 3D)?

I received an e-mail today saying that my e-mail address on ARTRaiders had been changed; I didn't change it. If I visit the site, it's full of fake Latin body text, and photos which are not 3D in origin. I honestly can't tell if it's being re-worked - there's no information to that effect - or if it's been hacked. I tried various malware scanners and they all gave it a clean bill of health.

I've taken the site off my links page, and I don't feel inclined to reply to that e-mail until I know more about the situation over there.

Any news from the 3D grapevine?

I didn't get an email from them, but I did check out the site from one of my browser bookmarks, and I see what you mean.

As far as the Lorem Ipsum text, I use that as place holder text whenever I redesign a site, that's its purpose.

As far as the "photos" that aren't 3D renders, I've seen that on sites that are no longer, but the URL is still working because no one else has bought it, or uploaded a new site. I think web hosts do that for a certain period of time, in case the previous user/site owner changes their mind, or pays a long overdue hosting fee which caused the site to be closed.

That was my thinking too. Thanks for taking a look! I deliberately didn't post a link in case there was something odd going on.

I've seen generic photos on parked domains, but the content is usually just links. Here some of it is almost relevant, but not quite... Hence my puzzlement. I'll keep an eye on it and see what turns up.

OK. I honestly haven't been to their site in quite a while, so not sure if the site is relevant any more, because I "think" they're selling at Renderosity these days, but I could be wrong about that.

Yes, I'm sure I have a bunch of them buried somewhere on my external hard drive.

Pretty3D & Mytilus (Artraiders) are in the process of redesigning their entire site. They got an award for their first design and I believe they're trying to shoot for a second trophy. :)

Only reason I know this is because I was/am one of their site admins, Bob.

The freebies should be back as well.

Ohhh, I didn't realize Mytilus was part of Artraiders. Glad to hear they'll be back. :)
