Loincloth for Dusk - RELEASED!!

I created this loincloth for several purposes. I think this will have some great versatility for us. Dusk will have this set of briefs underneath the loincloth itself. This way the loincloth can move about and the briefs can still offer Dusk the protection he desires.

This loincloth will work for Native American looks too, like what CWRW has created with her Rodrigo for Dusk. And it will be great for a Jungle Man (Tarzan looking figure) that CWRW is creating for Dusk. But I can also see this loincloth working for trolls, orcs and goblin type characters to come. Even for CGCube's Shapes and Sizes for Dusk product.

Anyway, there's strong potential here with this product. I've created the outer skin with 2 sides to it, so that an animal skin can show the fur on the top side and just the underlying skin to show underneath. I've also modeled it with an asymmetrical look for a more natural appeal.

Ohhhhh, I'm really liking that first one. Looks so much like real leather. ;)

You know it's funny. I was just thinking the other day looking at the gorilla, that the body could also be a great base for an orc or troll. The textures look great, although they look so much like leather, that the stitching looks a bit off being the same color. You really can't sow leather with leather. I like that the stitches are uneven, but maybe they should be some sort of rough twine?

Just a thought. It looks great and I'm excited to see this finished.

I'd disagree with that actually...leather thong like they use for jewellery can be sewn with. You would need to punch holes in the fabric first though...

That's a good point. I think that would be another way to make the stitching look better. It might even be able to be done with just texturing, like a normal map to make it look like the stitching was going more into the fabric.

So here are a couple of teasers on my "Taka, King of the Jungle" character. These definitely show how different hairs can change his look. The dirty blonde is HW Dusk MidLength Hair and the long hair is SAV's Yanni Rasta Hair. With leopard is a superfly render. The other is a firefly render. He will have several options, as well as a character morph -like Rodrigo -with all, head only and body only. Also will include superfly, firefly, 3delight and iray mats.
