Sending my good thoughts, and some hugs, in the hopes her health issues calm down soon. :grouphug:

If it's caught soon enough, it's not devastating, just painful to deal with. My mom had skin cancer on the face a few times, she lived through it and is fine, although there may be another one. She just had slice taken and it's being biopsied. One time she had to get radiation treatment. That was tough. It wears you out. But she kept a positive outlook through it.

My Mother in law has had a similar experience although not had to have radiation treatment but she has had cancer on her face a few times and they have caught it early. It has been going on around ten years if I remember rightly. Now she knows better what to look for she gets to the doctor as soon as she has early signs. It is a bit painful, and very worrying of course, but far from what you expect with other cancers.

My best wishes go to Lyne and all those around her, it is sometimes hard to see any real light when life has conspired to put you into a very dark place. I have been in such a place, although many moons ago, and I am living proof it can get better. You still desperately miss those you have lost but life can improve with the help of those who love you. I hope this is true for Lyne.

Thanks for keeping us informed Flint.

It's challenging for sure when you can't seem to take a breath before the next wave hits. It wears you down in so many ways making so hard to keep swimming, yet, keep swimming is what we must do. The encouragement of friends can be a bit of added buoyancy that assists to see us through.

Flint has read me your replies all along, for which I’m grateful! I’m hanging in there, but hard not to get depressed in the face of it all... so many serious things to contend with... but I’m very thankful I live in San Diego where there are some really good Scripps doctors...

Thought I better post that half before I lost it... I’m NOT used to my new iPhone and it’s over sensitive screen... I lose control of my pages, images easily... I use a stylus...
AnywayI do have a great company that provides home nurse-dressing (bandaging) care, physical therapy and even counseling! I’m also dealing with some top of the line UCSD specialist doctors... I’m scared out of my mind most of the time (childhood baggage), so just sort of “bulling my way through” the whole thing! I still can see a sliver of light at the end of my tunnel...
Thanks again for all your good wishes...I soak them up!!!
